With September being the official launch month of new Apple products, anticipation for iPhone 13 is growing. Apple has not yet given a set date for the launch but the experts are hoping it will be in the month of September. If the launch goes as per the usual schedule, the new iPhones will hit the shelves in the US by the fourth Friday of September. Every year Apple fans get really excited and pumped up in September for the new launches, but this year analysts have discussed 5 main things not to expect from iPhone 13.
New Design

There won’t be a complete redesign and it will look similar to the 11 and 12 series. It is expected that the notch will be smaller. It will be the first time ever since iPhone X was released in 2017. According to the leaks, the iPhone 13 will look similar to iPhone 12 more or less. However, there will be minor changes like a smaller notch and a tweaked camera sensor placement on specific models. Ming-Chi Kuo is a reliable Apple analyst who predicted hole-punch design. However, now it is confirmed that it won’t be there in iPhone 13. Maybe in the 2022 iPhones, but definitely not this year.
Portless iPhone

MagSafe was introduced with the iPhone 12 by Apple. Most of the Apple fans took it as a hint of portless iPhones coming into the market much sooner than expected. A few years ago there were rumors as well that in 2021 iPhones will come without a charging port. However, that is not likely to happen with this year’s launch and maybe iPhone 14 will be the first one without the port. It is also possible that iPhone will support wireless charging along with Apple’s MagSafe.
USB-C Port
USB-C support is also one of the 5 things not to expect from iPhone 13. So it will neither be portless nor USB-C supported. As per Ming-Chi Kuo, Apple will stick with the lightning port for another year at least with the iPhones. Even though iPad Pro, iPad Air, and MacBook have USB-C support. Experts think that it is more likely that Apple introduces portless iPhones instead of USB-C connectivity.
In-screen Touch ID

Touch ID is much more convenient for everyone. Especially with the pandemic and requirements of wearing a mask at all times, face ID is just much more difficult to deal with. People would love to have the option of touching a sensor to unlock the iPhone. Unfortunately, it is not going to happen anytime soon or with the iPhone 13 even though iPad Air has that feature. Mark Gurman at Bloomberg says that Apple did test the Touch ID feature with iPhone 13 but it didn’t fall in place. Therefore, it is Face ID for now.
A Mac Chip in the Phone

M1 was exclusive for Macbook only a few years ago. But, Apple gave iPad Pro the chip so people started hoping that iPhones might also get the M-chip. However, the M1 chip is one of the things not to expect from iPhone 13. Apple is likely to introduce the A15 Bionic chip. According to the rumors, it will have a 5nm processor just like the A14 Bionic processor. However, the change here is that Apple will be using a new 5nm+ technology for better performance. On the other hand, it is a misconception that A-series is based on the M-series whereas it is the opposite in reality. So MacBook chips are based on the iPhone chips and not the other way round.
