Writer’s block is the biggest fear of any writer. It is a nightmare because the mind completely refuses to be creative and there is absolutely no flow in the content. However, writer’s block is more common than you think. It is very normal to get a block when you are continuously working on a single writing project. Go for a walk
Take a break and go for a walk. Fresh air is super helpful to calm down your mind and muscles. When you breathe in the fresh air, you automatically get refreshed from within. Moreover, if there is greenery around it is even better. It soothes the eyes and hence the brain. You will feel not only fresh but motivated as well. If you are in a park, try to walk barefoot on the grass. You will feel the change yourself. It might not be medically proven but mentally you will feel very good walking on the soft grass.
Write it out

Leave the project and work on something else. It will divert your mind from something you are working on for a long time. It could be anything random and does not have to be formal. The purpose is to give your mind some space for creativity.
Eliminate distractions
Distraction is a recipe for disaster for focus. Try to get rid of as many distractions as you can. A cellphone is the biggest distraction in any room so keep it elsewhere first thing. When the phone won’t be at a reachable distance, you will not get the urge to check it again and again necessarily. Distractions break the flow of thoughts and often cause writer’s block. Therefore to overcome writer’s block, look around and remove anything you feel will distract you.
Cardio

Cardio exercises are also great to overcome writer’s block. It makes the blood flow which means better oxygen supply. Oxygen is the food of the brain and makes it work more effectively. So when you will do a simple cardio exercise, your brain will get activated and perform better.
Play games
Playing games is a small but productive break to overcome writer’s block. There are a lot of games of different types that you can play if you are unable to write. It can either be a board game, or a word game, or even any video game on the screen. The aim is to challenge your brain with productive and fun activity/. The brain needs creative activity to restart and perform intellectually well again.
Book reading

Read a book. It also helps in fighting writer’s block. Reading other people’s work gives you a perspective of your own. You get ideas of creativity and how to make your work creative. Reading also helps in vocabulary increase which is good for a writer. Lastly, reading is considered a leisure activity that calms down the mind and gives it a kickstart. And anything that calms the mind is essential for a writer during their nightmare days of creative block.
Change of environment
If the small quick activities don’t help you to overcome writer’s block, then take big steps. Change your environment temporarily to break the monotony of everyday life. When life gets too monotonous our mind and body start feeling low and lethargic. It is very important to have a change of environment once in a while just to restart your system. It will act as fuel and will make it easier to think fresh. A change of environment could be a small getaway within the city, a fun beach day, or simply another city trip.
